The LCAC makes its debut at the Palacio de Bellas Artes (Palace of Fine Arts) in Mexico City with the talent behind Pardo-Heli, including dozens of students and academics accompanied by sound designer Topiltzin Borsegui. Betsaida Pardo and Jairo Heli’s latest choreo-drama, Las Voces Matria Resistencia, is dedicated to the Campobello sisters’ rebellious, revolutionary, and transformative legacy.
After the Mexican Revolution, Nellie and Gloria Campobello were elected to help shape the new Mexican identity through dance at the National Dance School. Las Voces Matria Resistencia challenges spectators to reflect and connect through the catharsis of ritualistic dance.
The LCAC is lucky to count on PARDO-HELI as an extension of our Team who are dedicated to building bridges between Colorado and Mexico.
